My Adventure for the Day

Our family rarely goes and seeks out the snow, but since we had time and the weather was decent, today we drove into the mountains.

It was an amazing, fun time. We went sledding. The picture to the left is of the large run. The smaller runs started at the base of the quaint cabin below.

There were a variety of inner-tubes to choose from - in all sizes. Often, two of us would go down together (face first!).

Although we had so much fun out of doors, it was also great to come inside to warm up, grab a snack, and down some hot chocolate.

Overall, it was a fun winter day with family. I'll probably be sore tomorrow, but it was worth it for the memories.





My challenge to you: Do something today to have fun with your family.

Now, I'm off to make another memory!

an impromptu trip to florida

I'm rarely spontaneous, but when I am, I like to think I do it well. I went to Florida this weekend.  On Thursday evening, I realized that I was ahead on Homework (for probably the first time in my life) and decided to go to the beach, something I had been thinking about doing since I knew I was coming to Georgia. I did some research and found a hotel right on the beach for a decent price for the next day. After hastily making reservations, I made a plan.  That plan included printed map quest directions, because who can rely on cell service?  I did use those directions, and ironically enough, I was lost as soon as I left my driveway--I forgot which way was South. That's what happens when you forget to have Google tell you where to go and are also talking with your spiritual director via bluetooth. Top Ten Favorite Writing Resources

When it comes time to put words on paper, I entrust my carefully formed thoughts to the most efficient and easy to use mediums I can find. The following are all things that have helped me before. None of them are sponsors, I've just genuinely appreciated them so much I want to share them with you. I did not arrange them in any particular order of importance. 1.
